(damn, this photo is soooo out of focus. sorry about that, but i took this photo with my keitai(cellphone) so bare with me. i'll update the photo sometime soon)

current status (2004/02/06) is

installed Accelerated-X in order to get WXGA (1280x768) (xdpyinfo output is here)
installed RedHat Linux 9 beta (severn)
upgraded to Fedora Core 1
sound works
x works (but only in XGA (1024x768) mode. you can use the commercial Accelerated X from Xi Graphics to get WXGA (1280x768).
Wlan works. use the madwifi drivers
ethernet works
USB2 works
IEEE1394 works
cd-r/dvd-rom drive works
camera untested
bluetooth untested
LCD brightness control available from sonypi
battery usage can be confirmed from sonypi
camera startup button can be used. so you should be able to do some hacks with that
