_ [fixies] JAN CREW MEETUP

日曜はJANのライダーであつまり試撮。JAN近辺のスポットを周り撮影。かなりいい映像撮れたんじゃないかな！朝から集合してたから、もう昼2時ぐらいにはみんな疲れちゃって。そんなときに、通りかかりの人が興味ありげに、”これ固定ですか？”みたいな。あ、なんか自転車好きなおっちゃん来たなって思ってピスト乗せてあげたらいきなりトラックスタンドして、バックサークルっぽい動きを…しかもそのとき”ギア比が重いからうまくできないね”みたいなこといって、一同”？？”。うちらのチャリでギア比重いってどういうこと？？って話を聞くとサイクルサッカーやっていた人だとか。しかも近所に住んでいたのでわざわざサイクルサッカー用のチャリを持ってきてくれた！ここでクルー全員テンション↑↑で、お手本見せてもらったんだけど、スゴすぎ…ボールを当て込む時とかの前輪（フロント）の動きの早さとかありえないし。トリックも、サイクルフィギュアなみにスゴかった。うちらが練習しているようなトリックは全部コンビネーションでやってたね。本当にフッツーのおっちゃんって感じなのに…日本に30チームぐらいしかないらしく、それ考えると彼にこの公園で偶然あえたのはマジで奇跡に近いね！（ちなみに１チーム２人構成です）

で、散々みんなでサイクルサッカーチャリ乗り回した後にはJANに行きフテージチェック。ここでまた一同”？？”。映像の50%ぐらいが…謎フテージ！ライダーのスキルも大切だけど、フィルマーのスキルも大切だとみな痛感。俺がスケートをやっているときに良く撮影に行ったときの事を思うと、良いフィルマーって、コーチみたいなもんで、ライダーの特徴を把握してて、ちゃんと指示出しができて、更には常にライダーの限界を越えるようにプッシュすることができること。そんでもって、なかなかいい映像が撮れないときなんかはモチベーションも維持させるように声かけもしないといけないという、本当に大変な仕事。そりゃ誰もが突然カメラ渡されてできることではない。失敗は成功のもと！

とにかく一日を通して最高に楽しかったし、誰も大きな怪我をせず終わって良かった。この日のMVPはfixika君。だってダウンチューブ折れているのに撮影しているんだもん…そのダウンチューブを朝一にとりあえずってレンチと鉄線で縛りつけてた応急処置してたMKMSPNもスゴイけど。

this sunday, the jan shop riders got together to go shoot some footage. we did get some good footage taken. we were riding from the morning, so by 2pm we were pretty tired. that's when this old guy came up and asked us like "is this fixed gear?". we all just thought it was some guy who was all into bikes and stuff. then he got on one of our bikes and started doing trackstand and backwards and shit. then he said, "the gear ratio is kinda high...". what? with our gears? we ride low enough gear ratios, considering fixedgear bikes. but we found out, this guy is a cycle soccer guy, as they ride 1:1 gear ratio. he happened to live close by, so he brought his cycle soccer bike and showed us some tricks. it was amazing, he did tricks we were practicing like it was nothing. it was unbelievable. we got so stoked. borrowed his bike and he showed us how to do them. you'd think you could do anything with a gear ratio 1:1, but not true. it's a totally different thing....

anyways, we sessioned his bike for like 2 hours and went back to JAN to check out today's footage. we checked the footage and like 50% of it was a mystery footage. i don't know what was going on out there, but it was like ???? it taught us that the filmer's skill is just as important and necessary as the rider's skills. as i think back to the days when i went shooting sk8 footages, a good filmer is like a coach. he knows about the rider very well, directs the rider well, and pushes the rider to do things that pass his limits. and when the rider doesn't make the trick or routine or whatever, the filmer always keeps the riders motivation going. really a tough job. so you can't just pass the camera over to some guy and shoot good footage.

anyways, today was a super fun day, with no one getting injured. the mvp of the day has got to go to fixika. he rode the whole day with his downtube cracked. well, completely seperated at the end of the day. mkmspn, fixing a patch to the downtube with a coouple of wrenches and wires in the morning was pretty crazy too. he was like "this should do it".

そういえば日曜日、俺も写真結構撮ったけどボツってたのが多かったな。100枚以上撮ったけど、良いと思ったのほとんど無かった。flickrにあげたのも結構納得いかないのばっか。やっぱあれだけ水族館の水槽の中みたいにライダーがわんさかいてみんなしてヤバイのバシバシ周りでやっていると撮るのあせるし。落ち着け俺！しかし動くものにはAF間に合わないな。マニュアルフォーカス覚えないと。動いてなくても、たまにフォーカスの調子がすごいおかしいときあるんだよね、α100。壊れてんのかな？

今日はOKAMASSANと一緒にショップ巡り。中野で集合して、BLUE LUG→SEXON→世田谷公園→W-BASE/FESTIVALに行ってきたよ。BLUE LUGにはJANパーカーも各色／サイズ入荷しててビックリ。これ、デザイン、リフレクターロゴ等、調子いいんでおすすめっす。で、その後SEXONでは偶然S氏とKD君らとあい、一緒にセタコーまでライド。SHINGOさんは岐阜のイベントに遠征してたため不在でした。残念。で、セタコーでは恒例のスケートスクールが開催されるってことで各種セクションとかが出てて、スケートもかなり楽しかった！んで、途中あいまみながらピストったり。そのあとW-BASEに行って、OKAMASSANを渋谷駅で見送り。いい一日だった！

today, i went riding with okamassan, looked around some track bike shops. we went to blue lug. they had the new JAN hoodies with the reflective logos. these hoodies really nice, i love mine. then we went to sexon, met up with sk and kd. we rode together to setagaya park. today was skateboard school day at the park. so there was some nice ramps setup. i had a really good time skateboarding today. i'd skate for a while, then take a break, ride my bike,,,and so on. then okamassan had to leave tokyo today, so we headed to shibuya station. we checked out w-base and carnival then okamassan got on the train to go back to kobe.

今日のW-BASEはGANGSTAR祭りだったねぇ。3台ぐらいみたよ。あれフォークストレートだけど、ちょっとオフセットしているんだね。普通の状態でもちょっとトゥーあたる感じだから、180回ったときは結構あたる確率高いとみた。それ考えるとホップして、バースピンしてTO FAKIEしちゃうトムとか結構やばいね〜。関係ないけど、俺もW-BASEにカイエンで乗り付けてBMW GANGSTAR(フレームだけで18万)の完車を荷台にヒョコって積んで帰っちゃうぐらい成り上がらないとね〜。ぷぷ

i saw like 3 bmw gangstars today at w-base. that thing has a straight blade fork, but with a little offset. your toes hit a little bit normally, so i would think that there's a high probability of your toes hitting the wheel when the handles spin 180 degs. knowing that, them barspins to fakies that tom does, is just killin it! by the way, the bmw gangstar track frame in japan costs like $1800. crazy isn't? yeah, i saw this guy pull up to w-base with his cayenne, brought a brand new gangstar complete bike, put it in his hatch and leave.....that's what the pista bike movement is in japan! haha

今週末はBFFですよ！世界初上映となるFAST FRIDAY。映画の内容も気になるが、それに加えてDustinが今回特別にFAST FRIDAYを東京で開催したいとのこと！！今回Dustinほか、PJ、Jason、Hiro、Davidが来日するそうです（Davidはたぶん監督だと思うけど）。かなりヤバイメンツそろってます。JasonはKeo Spin 720もやっちゃうみたいなんで、見物ミモノです！

This weekend is the Bicycle Film Festival.Fast Friday will have it's world's first premier in tokyo!! and if that wasn't enough, dustin is planning to have the fast friday event in tokyo, specially for this event. JAN will be a full support to this event. should be a blast. Dustin, PJ, Jason, Hiro, Dave of the Fast Friday crew will be coming to japan. you can't miss this event, man. make sure to show up.

前置きが長くなりましたが、本題。昨日はJANクルー総出でTV撮影に挑みました。TV朝日系の木曜深夜にやっているFUTURE TRACKS→Rって番組にでるみたいです。3分ぐらいの尺のために撮影すること4時間。ウィーリーやらホップやらスピンやらスプリントやらCCDエロビジョンやら盛り沢山。しまいにはクルーで雑談！みたいな恥ずかしいコーナーとかあったり。で、多分すごいイケテナイ感じに編集されるんだと思う。仕上がりに期待…

JAN team went filming with some tv guys today. we shot some footage for a tv asahi program FUTURE TRACKS→R, which is on air every thursday night. we filmed for like 4 hours just for a 3 minute cut. filmed wheelies, hops, spins, sprints, ccd vision, etc, should be some real good stuff. we even had this little group talk/interview session. if that wasn't lame enough by itself, they'll probably edit it so we sound even more dorky. yeah, it's a zen thing. you feel totally connected to the bike. haha!

BFF楽しかった。もろもろの内容は他の人がいろいろ書いてるのでそちらを…とにかくBIKES ROCK！ギャハハ。Fast Friday Tokyo、マジいままで参加したイベンツの中で一番熱かった！！！PJのPOGOには到底及ばなかったけど、一緒にセッションできてすげぇ楽しかった。Jasonも、いろんなオモシロ技を見せてくれてかなりのナイスガイだった。いつもガイジン見て思わされるのが、自転車の遊び方でいつも完全に負けているってこと。うひゃ〜って思わされたのはJasonがPOGOで止まっているところにPJが横から走って、Jasonの前輪つかんでグルリと回して本人をスピンさせるのとか。まじで発想がやべぇ。After Partyは時間が無かったので軽く立ち寄ろうと思ったけど、意外とエントリーフィーが高くて却下。パイセンと一緒に近くで一杯飲んで帰りました。

POGOの前でパンクしちゃうPJとか、ベストトリックの前でパンクしちゃうJasonとか、あの日はちょっとFFクルー呪われてましたね。人のチャリでもあの乗れてるっぷりだから、もうプロですよ、プロ。

BFF was fun. i'm not gonna write about it since everyone else already has on their blogs...well, let's just say "BIKES ROCK!!".

Fast Friday Tokyo, must have been the best event i've ever participated so far. i was no way close to beating PJ on the POGO session, but i had a great time sessioning with him. Jason, he was also super cool. i'd go ride next to him and he would show me all these fun little tricks. like tapping your front wheels on your frame when doing bar spins on 700C that doesn't bar spin. that's a really good thought on a bike that you can't bar spin on. there was so many things we learned from their visit, and one of them (and the biggest) was a way of having fun on our bikes. 2 hours was way too short man....

PJ getting a flat before the POGO session, Jason getting a flat before the best trick session, was the Fast Friday Crew cursed that day? ;<

突然のお呼出し…PJ、Jason、ヒロが都内出現との噂あり。都内膀胱炎某公園にて集合。チラホラ集まるピスト乗り。しかし、大物は来る気配なく、一時ガセネタ説までも浮上。なぜか分からないけど、”これキョウチャン主催でしょ〜”とか言われたり笑。しばし待つ事1時間、そしたら来たよ！平日の夜遠くまで来た甲斐あった！土曜日はもう一緒にチャリ乗る事に夢中になってて、アフターも時間が無くていけなかったりで、PJ、Jason、ヒロ君とあんまりしゃべれなかったんだけど、昨日はマッタリした時間も結構あって色々話せてよかった。ベストトリックの自己紹介の時に、3BANCHOって言ったらPJも知っててくれて、”おー、お前が3BANCHOか！”みたいな感じになってちょっと嬉しかったね。PJも自らステッカーくれって言ってくれたし。どうやらシアトルで3BANCHOのステッカーを手に入れて、フレームに貼ってたんだけど、意味が分からなくて、変な事書いてあったら嫌だなと思って剥がしちゃったらしい。鼻輪くん意外とカワイイな！そんな感じでベストトリックとかFOOT DOWNとかして、そこそこに盛り上がって解散！fixika君がラブコールしてたよって伝えておいたので、次はサウス千住ラルあたりで見かけるかもね！気になる人はあの辺徘徊するといいよ〜。でもゲットーだから気をつけてね。出会い頭MKMSPNとかウィーリーで煽られたりしちゃうかも。

i went out to setagaya park today, because i got the word that PJ,Jason,Hiro was going there. when i got there, there were some people there but no one really knew for sure that they were coming. we were all like, is this a scam? were we fooled? and even some of the people started asking me if i called everyone up, and i was like no, no, where did you get that info....after we waited for like an hour, they showed up, and we're all like YEAH! it was good seeing them again, because at saturday's event, i was all busy riding my bike and i didn't have time to go to the after party. so i didn't really get to talk to them. but yesterday, it was kinda of a more toned down kinda session and i got to talk to them for a bit. it was really cool when PJ told me he knew 3BANCHO. he said he had the 3BANCHO sticker on his frame, but he took it off because he didn't know what it meant and he was afraid it said something bad. but not to worry. 3BANCHO doesn't really mean anything. BANCHO means "a leader of a group of juevenile delinquents". and the company i run is called "BANCHO" (don't ask me why) and i just thought it be funny to match it up with the so famous bicycle frame builder "3RENSHO".

どうやら編集が終わって、量産が始まったようです。全てがスケジュール通り1月初旬にリリースになるようです。で、いまこれを総括／制作しているburdと話していて、日本への流通の確保もできています！なので発売と同時に日本で買えるようになる予定なので皆さん乞うご期待！もちろん今回来日したPJとJasonのパートも含まれているので、これはゲットするしかないでしょ〜。俺はこの話がでる前に先走って本家からプレオーダーしちゃったんだけど…DVD$15＋送料$20で、多分4000円ぐらいかかっちゃった↓今回の日本での販売はもっと安くなるよ！

so it seems that the project is on schedule, and the dvd should be released by eary january. i've been talking to burd who has been managing and producing this whole project, and we are working on a distribution in japan! so make sure to check out the dvd. PJ and Jason who are in japan right now, also have a part in the DVD, so you definitely gotta see that.

yeah, i woke up today in POG's office and i was covered with puke....it was like 6am, and i rode my bike back to my house and i thought i was gonna freeze to death!! it was so cold, my hands were all numb and i was still a little drunk. i came to my office, but i'm still drunk and i feel like shit, so i'm gonna go home now and get some sleep.

ギア比46x17にしたら通勤が快適になったよ。ワンハンドウィーリーとかPOGOとかもろもろ、できる感じでいいです。今日はアレ練習しよ。PJがやってたアレ

i'm gonna to to shiba park today. i changed my gear setup to 46x17 and commute is so much better now. and i was still able to do one hand wheelies and pogos and stuff. today, i'm gonna practice that thing that PJ was doing...

昨日はかなり沢山人が集まってたね！寒さにめげずみんなでこうやって集まってセッションできるってのはすげぇ楽しい。普段から芝公園いる人、ここ見て来てくれた人、川向こうから来てくれた人、みんなオツカレ〜っす。昨日はなんと言っても伯爵が日本のPOGO平均を飛躍的に上げた事です…母集団小さいってのもあるけど。あとはPJが練習してたアレ、やっぱウィーリー部分の壁が高い…伯爵はウィリーからPOGOで止まるところまでいってた。あとはそのままバック！

had a nice session at shiba park yesterday. thanks for all the riders who came. fixika (jp keo) mastered pogo's. he almost did that thing PJ was doing, wheelie to pogo then keep pogo'ing backwards. i gotta practice wheelies more.
